"Extra enchantments," repeated Minerva. "Did she by any chance specify just what enchantments she meant?"

"Er," said Lupin. "Fortifying the alcohol content, I believe?"

Snape rolled his eyes. "No wonder you gave 250 extra points to Hufflepuff. Your late wife would have been appalled."

Lupin stared at the paving stones. "She always wanted a House Cup. Poor Dora."

One of the ubiquitous first-years trotted past. Her eyes widened at the sight of the overflowing hourglass. "Wow! We must have done something really cool!"

Snape smirked as Lupin flushed. It was nice to see a Gryffindor in trouble for a chance.
