Sunlight (FFVII, Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud/Aeris)
Title: Sunlight Author/Artist: icedark_elf Rating: PG-13 Warnings: None Word count: 294 Summary: The ends justify the means. Prompt: Final Fantasy VII, Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud/Aeris: Getaways - "Months of work for one weekend of bliss." A/N: So very, very sorry that this is late. RL kicked me in the face and got me stranded out of town for a bit. *hides from Wilcox, afraid the town will eat me again*
It required a great deal of planning and manipulations. No few bribes, either, but Zack and Sephiroth knew exactly what it took. Some help from Aeris's cooking, and some deliveries from Cloud's mother were also needed, but it got the job done. Zack wondered at times what Reno, of all people, would want from Nibelheim, but it got the Turks to look the other way as Aeris slipped out of the city for a weekend. And a nice apple cobbler always got the President to sign off on Sephiroth and Zack's requests off, as long a they didn't come to frequently.
Months of work for one weekend of bliss.
But it was worth it. The chance to simply be with each other and not have to worry about who was watching was worth every bit of effort it took to get. To see Sephiroth stretched out in the sun, Aeris using his stomach for a pillow while Cloud's lap did the same job for Seph. Zack wished they could take pictures, but that was too dangerous. Seph had already warned that if Hojo got any hint of contact between himself and Aeris, it would be...unpleasant.
Zack didn't like it, but he put up with it. For now, he was happy. Later...well, later would work itself out, even if he had to take care of Hojo himself. Didn't like the idea, but neither he, Cloud, or Seph would be military forever, no matter how much it seemed Seph would, and, eventually, things would have to change.
Change wasn't always good, and Zack knew it. But, right now, things were fine, and he got to watch his lovers in real sunlight. That, really, was worth all the work it took to get them there.
