Savannah tomorrow? |
[Jun. 21st, 2009|06:16 pm] |
Ack!! Meant to post yesterday and got so busy I forgot!
I am off tomorrow and I think I'm going to drive into Savannah for the day. Anyone interested? I'm looking to do the tourist thing. There's a cathedral there that looks AMAZING as well as quite a few other churches and temples, plus everything else. Ghost tours and the history. I'd love some company! |

Storm #1!! |
[Jun. 16th, 2009|04:15 pm] |
So, who else enjoyed that storm?
I love storms. They're awesome.
I'm doing better on the stationary bike. I think it's time to try the regular bike again. Stop laughing!
Doc says no more beach for my fake leg too. I apparently broke it. Fucker. Now what do I do?! |

Anyone else bike? I haven't found a bike club or anything yet, but I am hoping to find one. |

bombs. it's what I do. |
[Jun. 13th, 2009|06:09 pm] |
God, I hate tourists. I really, really do.
So I ran out of stuff and had to go to the grocery store. Stupid thing to do on a Saturday during tourist season, I know, but I was out of milk, OJ, beer, bread, cereal and pasta. Which is practically everything.
So I pull into an open handicapped spot at the store, my car is clearly marked handicapped, and get out. There's an older couple in their car behind mine - they had been behind me getting into the parking lot too. And they roll the window down and the man, obviously retired, says I should be ashamed of myself, taking the handicapped spot when I was young and fit. Apparently, having a prosthetic leg and using a cane means NOTHING to him. I politely indicate my leg and state that I have a handicapped tag enabling me to park there. The man then says he doesn't care, he is a Korean War veteran and I should give him my spot! He was also from Pennsylvania according to his license plate.
I very politely gave him the finger and went to do my shopping. God, I hate tourists. |

Hello Hilton Head. I thought I'd introduce myself since I'm going to be here for the rest of the summer and I've never been here before up until a few days ago, so I don't know a soul. I'm Mackenzie and I'm here to get away from the big city life and relax, for once. |
