'Great idea, Greengrass. Ask one of the most known Death Eaters for a private audience and then choke on your words.' Daphne thought to herself. She had been wandering around the halls when she walked in through the front doors.
At first, Daphne almost forgot to breathe she was so happy. She had talked herself into asking her for help the next time she had seen her, and then her she was strolling by.
Daphne didn't know her, personally, but Josiah Greengrass had. And he always spoke about her with the highest respect. He had said there wasn't another like her. She was dedicated to her beliefs and to the cause. Just like Daphne wanted to be.
'Excuse me.' She had spoken softly to the woman as she passed by. 'May I request an audience with you in private?'
The woman looked at her curiously, but agreed and took Daphne to an empty room. She waited for Daphne to speak, but nothing would come out. It wasn't every day one had such focus trained on them from such greatness.
"I-", she started once again. "My father. He always spoke so highly of you."
An awkward silence seemed to fall around them. Finally, Daphne took a deep breath and said the words she had rehearsed since she was seven. "I grew up with a single wish. Every falling star, every birthday candle, every four leaf clover. It was all for the same thing. I wish to serve the Dark Lord and to bear his mark proudly. Can you help me?"
In the next moment, Daphne knew her world was going to change. Either her wish would be denied, or it would be granted by Bellatrix Lestrange.
