Bellatrix (Black) Lestrange (alms) wrote in exiledrpg,
"As he should." The words rolled from Bellatrix's lips without so much as a second thought when the child spoke that her father spoke of her in high regard. After all she felt it was deserving. Bella normally didn't take requests from children, let alone have a private audience with them.. unless of course, a punishment was called for. But something intrigued her. What was it? Well for starters, someone requested such a thing of her and that hadn't happened in such a long time.
However, Bellatrix was beginning to doubt any importance or any interest in the meeting as silence fell. Her brow arched toward the young girl in frustrated impatience. A clanking sound of her heel echoed as she tapped it. What was the girl expecting to happen? BELLATRIX talk? Bellatrix did not request an audience with herself. But before she opened her mouth to speak her thoughts, Daphne spoke. She spoke of how she grew up with a single wish. "Yes?" Bellatrix asked, then every falling star? Every birthday candle? Every four leaf clover? "OH for the love of... SPEAK!" Bellatrix found herself snapping. However, Bellatrix soon seen that the build up was quite deserving for what she wanted. She wished to serve the Dark Lord? "As you should want to." Bellatrix spoke in the same proud and narcissistic tone as she did earlier when Daphne spoke of her father speaking so highly of her. But could she help?
Bellatrix tilted her head to the side, her eyes slanted as she looked the girl over. Her wand came out and slowly slid down Daphne's cheek before coming to rest beneath her chin to raise the girl's head. "You want to join the Lord?" She asked in a very soft and whispered tone, a tone one would use when not trying to wake a child. Her large almond shaped eyes were on the girl's face. "You want to dedicate yourself? Wished it for years and years? On every falling star, every birthday candle and every four leaf clover?" It was almost as if she was mocking Daphne but to be honest? She was having a bit of a jest with her.
The wand under Daphne's chin was removed and Bellatrix stepped back, crossing her arms. Her head moved up almost like she was a stubborn child. A uninterested, stubborn child. Though that wasn't exactly the case. Bellatrix was eager to get people to join the ranks and many wanted to, although no one boldly approached her so it earned the girl serious points. But was she good enough? Well... maybe that wasn't how to ask the question because obviously training would be needed, no child, other than their lord, was born with such greatness.
The true question was how bad did she want it? It would obviously take more than a stubborn child, making wishes on superstitious and useless items to enter the ranks of the Dark Lord. She had to be determined. She couldn't let anyone or anything stand in her way. So this brought forth curiosity as a sunken eye averted to look at the girl, her brow (if at all possible) arched even higher to more dramatize her expression. "And what if I say no?"
