Her heart raced. Her breath came fast. The wand at her chin kept her from looking at the head on her shoulder. The hand caressing her hair kept her silent, it reminded her who was behind her. "The only family I care for died. I have nothing else to keep me from completely devoting myself to the cause."
Bellatrix released Daphne and came around to face her again. Daphne didn't know what to expect. She had spoken out of place to the woman in front of her, both of them knew it.
But Daphne couldn't help the small smile that graced her face. Bellatrix had agreed to train her. "I will do whatever it takes to prove myself."
The smile didn't disappear when Bellatrix said she would kill her. "It was understood when you agreed to speak with me."
Daphne had spent years wishing for this. Wanting this. Her Father had told her how wonderful it was to do the Dark Lord's bidding. He spoke often of how much better the world would be if it were created in Dark Lord's vision.
Now, she would do her deceased Father proud and follow in his footsteps.
