Who: CIA Peeps
What: CIA Conversation
When: After this
Where: Bo's safehouse
The Safehouse was pretty standard fare for any overly large house in the middle of the desert. Someone with too much money, and a desire for seclusion would have been happy here. It was on acreage, with a lone quarter mile dirt road leading to the set of garages that made up the front driveway. The house itself was red stucco, complete with archways and columns to invoke a sense of the "Mediterranean." The house was well landscaped, red rocks instead of grass, and succulents instead of flowers, but everything was kept up and manicured. There were barns on the property, large metal sided buildings full of horse tack, tractors, computer equipment, an armory, and a few passages under the ground to and from the house, a green house stood on the property as well growing hot house tomatoes and marijuana that Bo swore he knew nothing about.
The house itself was just what it was supposed to be. A rich man's hideaway that most who got lost and drove by completely discounted as belonging to a sports hero or someone who did well in the stock market. There was a pool, a hot tub, and from the sky, from the road, it was nothing more than a relaxing desert retreat.
Even the inside of the house, from the foyer to the staircase to the fully furnished bedrooms, bathrooms, and rec rooms, one might have thought they were a bunch of idiots on vacation. Ready to watch NFL playoffs on the gigantic flatscreen, or drink the beer in the fridge and get away from the bright lights of Vegas. Bo didn't mind the place, it was a little ostentatious for him, but that was the point.
It had a top notch security system, a little too top notch, but only if you were looking really closely. Though it was the basement where things got interesting. It was lower in the ground than most basements were, it had more exits than any basement ought to have (tunnels to the barns, stairs to garages), there was a locked cage full of weapons, there was a conference room, and clones of all of his equipment from the offices, but running completely unofficially. There were monitors and radios, it was a beyond decent home base for the time being.
And at this particular moment the conference room was full of people the government had just tried to wipe off the map.
