[Locked to Inception Crew sans Mal. For the job.]
[A full dossier on one Amanda Jane Kearns, age 18, legal US resident of New York, currently hospitalized upstate after going missing for exactly three days in the middle of November during the hurricane. Police have reason to believe her abductor was forced to vacate the place he was holding her, because she was found in an abandoned van and there is evidence he was planning on going farther than the state line. (A separate dossier on evidence gathered so far on the case. Not much. No witnesses, no DNA, no real evidence in the van, which was stolen two months ago.)
A yearbook photo is included: Amanda is slightly underweight with a happy smile and extremely long dirty blonde hair. She's fighting acne on both cheeks, but she looks untroubled by it. She is extremely ordinary.
Amanda played soccer for ten months when she was five, but is otherwise not of the athletic type. She enjoys horror movies (since age 8) and musicals (more recently at age 12), and she has been active in her high school's theatre program--the last play was Antigone and the fall musical was Oklahoma!. Her plans for theatre in her adult life brought her into conflict with her businessman father, but she's not exactly Broadway material just yet, and he has been encouraging her to apply to NYU. Her mother remarried when she was ten and lives across the country. The mother is currently staying in NY to be close to Amanda but all records show she's been mostly out of the picture since the divorce when Amanda was 2. All records indicate that the divorce was amicable and Amanda largely unfazed.
Though hardly a fashionista, her receipts over the last twenty months indicate a blossoming interest in looking good in fitted cotton-knit skirts and tights in bold colors, probably to attract the interest of one John Casey Chen, who other than being Asian bears an alarming resemblance to that vampire in Twilight. (A separate dossier, somewhat smaller, is also included on him. He plays lacrosse, has a girlfriend named Juanita, and is applying to MIT with expected success.) Arthur is 95% sure that she has an eating disorder based on interviews with her friends (Joanna and Tsukiko), and her current doctors concur; her father had no idea. (There are dossiers of each girl, both theatre friends of the same age. Tsukiko is gay and currently in a relationship with a girl named Maria. Joanna recently broke up with her boyfriend David and there has been a lot of angry text messages about what a jerk he is. Both girls are also generally quite ordinary.)
There are photos included of all of her residences since age 2 (there are only three, including her current one) and also a set of photos of her present bedroom. Amanda's favorite color is Christmas tree green, and her walls are papered with horror film posters. Arthur includes text message transcripts, which indicate a teenager's typical disregard for punctuation, grammar, and the feelings of anyone but herself. Arthur has highlighted her favorite horror films, probably to indicate he thinks her dream space is going to be very unpleasant. But there's always the hope they'll end up in Oklahoma! wheat fields, right?]
