Who: Damien Penner and Maram Uzma
What: Getting settled back into the old routine.
When: Morning - January 19th.
Where: Ms. Uzma's trailer office.
Rating: Lowish.
Damien had no problem waking up bright and early to get the day started for Maram. It was easy to fall back into the previous routine that came to an abrupt end about a month ago. Of course, that was because he had been used to it since the day that she had chosen to hire him eight years ago. The office was something that he was going to miss back in New York, especially since he had just rearranged the room to the way that he liked it. There wasn't a whole lot of difference just in case his boss had changed her mind about the Carnivale. She was allowed to do such a thing, which wouldn't have bothered Damien one bit. However, the moment that she had called him up to join her, there wasn't a hesitation to an agreement on his end and giving up the power that he held in the company. It was a no brainier for him, despite the fact that he barely realized the hold she had on him.
As much as Damien was used to a few core species from the supernatural world, it felt strange to see them all gathered in one place. There were a few that he had no idea even existed. The change in environment was something that he needed to get used to, the quicker and for the better as well. For the most part, Damien kept to himself, unless work had to be done. Nothing was going to decrease the quality of work that he put in on a daily basis, especially for Maram.
Once he was set for the day, Damien made his way over to the trailer, stopping along the way to check out a few other tents and exhibits. Of course, he didn't linger too long outside of them, taking in a few curious glances for himself before continuing down the path towards his destination. The last thing that he wanted was Maram to arrive in the office before he had a chance to set everything up. It may have been a month since they had gotten in the routine once again, but he wasn't going to allow the woman to be disappointed in him.
Damien pushed the door open before him, thankful that she had not arrived before him. Once he set everything in their proper order, he set in on making her morning coffee. It wasn't a task that he needed to do, but he knew that she had expected her favorite blend of Turkish coffee was warm in a cup waiting for her upon her desk. Just as the pot warmed up, Damien walked around the desk and took a seat on the comfortable chair. There was probably a few more minutes to relax before the day truly began, placing his feet up on top of the furniture and leaning back slightly. It had taken him a few seconds longer to notice the Turkish delight on the desk, and popping a few into his mouth.
