Who: Carrick and Grace
Where: Carrick's Estate
When: Week 6, Wednesday Evening
Why: Grace has been delivered to her new master
Warning: TBD
Grace hadn't asked her new master's name, but she'd picked it up listening to the handlers discuss it as they arranged for her delivery to Lord Carrick's estate. She frequently used the titles of lord or lady with her Supernatural betters, but she hadn't expected to actually meet one who used the title of Lord. She usually planned such turns of good fortune, but the proper use of a title he used as well was just a stroke of pure luck on her part.
She had been delivered that Wednesday evening without a hitch into the hands of the household and taken to the room that was to be hers. The servants informed her that the Master would probably call for her in the evening, and so she'd taken familiarizing herself with her room for the time being. She'd been cleaned up before leaving the hands of the Auction staff, and she didn't wish to change from the slip she'd been given without instruction.
The arrangement seemed a favorable one, though Grace would of course have much to learn about her new Master before she could say so for sure. He'd seemed direct enough at the auctions, but she was not fool enough to think that she'd figured him out from the brief words that they'd had. He'd come looking for a boy, he'd said, but he'd also added that he would expect her to serve him in the bedroom as well. She would aim to show him that he'd not made a poor decision. There was also the task of acquainting herself with the adopted daughter he'd spoken of earlier. She would need to learn her way about the household and commit the rules, written and unspoken alike, to memory so as to meld seamlessly with it. Ambitions were worthless if divulged too quickly, and proving herself a reliable and worthy servant to all was distinct priority.
It was near evening before she knew it, and Grace took the time to check her appearance in the mirror before her master would call for her. Her hair fell loose in waves that spilled down her back, and her complexion was free of blemishes or marks. The slip was a simple garment, but it would do for a first impression if only for the sheerness of it.
