Grace enjoyed the company of pets from time to time. There was something very simple and pure about their companionship, though she had to admit she hadn't pegged her new Master to be among those that valued such things. There would be much more to learn, she was certain of that, and thus every detail of their conversation was filed away neatly in her mind.
The patio and grounds were as well-kept and lovely as she'd imagined they would be from the brief glimpse she'd gotten. The gardens were even more exquisite than she'd thought. "They're lovely, my lord," she remarked genuinely, smiling as she brushed her fingertips over one of the blooms. "Gardening wasn't a focal point of my training, but I've studied the subject in my spare time. I was allowed to keep a very small one growing up. I admit the work can be hard, and some plants are quite particular. Still, the result is worth the effort and the patience required for it, I find." She smiled, turning back to face Carrick as he collected the roses.
"I know quite a few sorts of lilies and primroses bloom at night. And of course there's the moon flower. I should be more than happy to start an evening garden for you, my lord, if it would please you."
