RP: Dating isn't always easy
Date: February 9, 2006
Characters: Cass, Lettie
Location: ??? Cass hasn't quite figured that one out yet…
Summary: Cass takes Lettie on their date
There was a distinct difference to taking out Susan and taking out Lettie. For one, he doubted Lettie would appreciate Muggle cinema.
In any normal situation, he'd have owled Emilia and borrowed the villa in Naples. However, given the situation, he thought Naples might be the worst idea possible. Which left him with…well a problem.
He couldn't take her out to a wizarding place – as he couldn't afford it, yet a muggle place was out of question, as was home (merlin no!), and the inn…well it just didn't feel right. Truth was that the more he went over things, the more he figured he was pretty much screwed.
Last he'd been out with Lettie he'd been rich. And with her having no memory he couldn't lay back and throw his usual antics. Especially not since she seemed to have figured out a way to call him on lying.
In short, he needed some solution – preferably yesterday.
Groaning, he ran a hand through his hair, only to immediately making sure it was perfectly in place. He tried to take a few calming breaths, while thinking hard on what to do. Then it hit him. She was a drinking girl. In the end of the day, as much as she loved fancy dining and being spoiled, she was a drinking girl who liked playing pool.
Settling down some, he grabbed his Muggle wallet, transfiguring the pieces of paper inside to pounds. He grabbed a pair of jeans and a shirt that he could have underneath his robes, and grabbed his broom on the way out.
He wasn't sure if Lettie would even have Muggle clothes, but he was brilliant at transfiguration so that could easily be arranged. It was, he thought, the one way to take her out without spending any money (which he didn't have) and he only hoped she'd appreciate it.
He Apparated into London on the way and bought (well sort of bought) her a pretty, ridiculously expensive, bracelet, then found an alley and Apparated the last bit to Cornwall, knocking on the door of the manor and waiting to be let in.
