"Oh, the poor man," Scarlett said, sounding anything but sorry about it. "Obviously, I'll have to apologise for your appalling behaviour if he agrees to meet me. That's if he does, I'm sure he has better things to do than pander to me... Not that anything is more important than that, mind you."
She pouted lightly and pulled on his arm to make him stop, going onto the balls of her feet to lean up and kiss him deeply. She was tempted to skip dinner and pool but she was hungrier for food than she was for sex... Just. "I'm very, very sorry and if there's anything I can do to make it up to you," she said, looking flirtatious and flashing him a grin. "Then don't hesitate to ask."
She followed him into the restaurant, glad when they were seated immediately. The smells coming from the kitchen were delicious and Scarlett's stomach rumbled, making her smile a little sheepishly. "When the war's over, you should take a few weeks off and come on holiday with me. We could go all over Europe, a new city each day... It'd be fabulous, don't you think?"
