Sentries Mission: Rescue
The Sentries are directed toward an Order base on Staten Island by SHIELD and tasked with arresting its inhabitants. They find the Order camped out in a building fronted by a laundromat and rescue a psychic from their custody. The rescued psychic is taken in by SHIELD, to be given medical and psychiatric treatment. (To recap: "The Order" is the subset within SHIELD responsible for Steven's brainwashing and other aggressive tactics that SHIELD proper shouldn't condone.)

» Gamewide Event: Good Samaritan (Monday, April 13th - Monday, April 20th)
The rescued psychic from the Staten Island bust turns out to have been infected with Project Haze. Diana Devin has a minor, natural reality warping ability, and thanks to Project Haze, she's been given psychic powers and a big boost all around. The inundation of so many thoughts and feelings over the last few months have driven her a bit... batty. Knowing that the Sentries are stationed at New Avalon, she goes there after she's released from the hospital, intent on repaying them for saving her life. When she comes in contact with everyone's minds and hearts, she realizes just how troubled the residents of New Avalon are, she desperately wants to help them out.
Good Samaritan is going to be an opt-in, open-ended plot. Diana will be finding characters' vulnerabilities or personal flaws and attempting to help fix them -- but she's not all there herself, so whether or not she succeeds is going to be up to you.
So the way it works is this: we say "open-ended" because it's up to you how Diana tries to help your characters. Because of her powers, you have a lot of leeway; they can be de-aged or aged up, be compelled to only tell the truth, have their minds swapped with another character, have powers taken away, edited, or given, or whatever else you want to do! It's totally up to you if Diana's "gifts" are actually going to help your character or just make them miserable for a while.
The plot will end when Diana is caught and cured of the Haze. Our hope is that people within New Avalon will team up to track her down and fix themselves, but if the plot takes you guys elsewhere, SHIELD will manage it themselves. All effects of this plot are temporary, so go wild.
The Devil Went Down to Jersey
A supervillain calling himself the Jersey Devil makes his terrorist debut by taking over the Outerbridge Crossing, connecting Staten Island to New Jersey. This pyrokinetic is hell-bent on proving something, but no one knows what. When Wonder is injured taking him down, Captain Marvel steps up to beat the Devil and save Kassi's life. Abigail Drake, Tessa Drake, Molly Parker, and Cliff Bishop are trapped on the bridge while all of this is going down.
1. This plot is meant to be fun and light-hearted. Even if things get whacky or extreme, we're preferring that no one causes any kind of lasting or permanent physical injury to someone else's characters during this plot. Anything else is fair game.
2. Along that same lines, there will be no sex with anyone affected by the spell. Because the spell is making characters obsessed with/in love with other characters, any sex with a character affected by it is... actually sexual assault. That's not an off-limits thing for the game in general, but this isn't a rape plot. No sexytimes while under the influence. No bueno.
3. Characters can't target or be targeted by someone they're already romantically involved with or have romantic feelings for. This is to keep it fun! We're saying the spell won't really work if people are already in love. (For example, Jack Murdock can't get all Cupid on Mark Reilly, because they're already dating and that's boring.)
While waiting for Gale Richards to recover, Billy Sinclair and Vic Altman manage to crush a potential attack from time-traveling Skrulls (perhaps after a five-year-old Steve Rogers? y'know, time travel). Though this attack leaves both Billy and Vic injured, they manage to set Luka Romanov and Eric Jeffries on the trail.
We're going on a temporal vacay in December! Where would you like to go?

On the morning of the 7th, a literal monster rises out of the water underneath the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, severing the quickest route between Staten Island and Brooklyn. The water boils and thrashes, causing tidal waves to flood the Staten Island coast as the kraken wrenches itself out of the sea and terrorizes the shore -- along with scary crab-like creatures (think large dog size) that drop from its underside and invade the city, attacking civilians and finding new surfaces to cling to.
The kraken is too large to sedate or capture. Think Godzilla or Clover. Superheroes will work with the Coast Guard (whose medical center is, unfortunately, right smack in the flood area) to fight the beast and put it down before it can destroy too many lives.
The fight itself will last a day, but the aftereffects of the damage will take a while. Floods are a bitch.
