Welcome to the Are You Game fic/pic-athon!

In just a few days, you will be asked to submit prompts to the fic/pic-athon. There is no limit to the amount of prompts you can submit. Submitting a prompt does not obligate you to participate - just be kind enough to read and leave a comment or two!

All prompts must be for game fandoms and their franchises. Some examples include (but are not limited to):

Castlevania, Devil May Cry, Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, Guild Wars, Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Zelda, Magna Carta, Odin Sphere, Phantasy Star, Silent Hill, Suikoden, Valkirie Profile, World of Warcraft, Xenosaga, etc.

We are allowing franchises such as movies, books, series, etc. that were made based on the game. Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Prompting will begin 12:00 AM EST June 1st and will run through 11:59 PM EST June 12th

To request a prompt:

1. In a comment to the prompting post (which will go up on June 1), submit your prompt request in the following format:

Fandom (spelled out – no abbreviations please):
Character/pairing/threesome or moresome:
Kink/cliché/fannish trope:
Phrase/word/idea/lyric to inspire:
Number (pick from 1 to 31 – day the finished work will appear):

Game franchise will also be accepted. So, if the game has been made into a movie, book, anime, etc. it is fair game.

2. If your prompt is for a crossover, please start with "Crossover, Fandom/Fandom," and then add pairing/prompt word/lyrics.

Examples:

Final Fantasy VII, Cloud/Tifa: first kiss – a night to remember – 14
Silent Hill 2, James/Mary: reunion – I had been missing you. – 30
Legend of Zelda, Dark Link/Link: Doppelslash – Let me show you who you really are. – 27
Crossover, Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy VII, Tifa/Rikku: girls night in – So much fun without the boys around. - 2

3. There is no limit on the number of prompts that you request. Go wild!

If you are unsure of all the kinks/fetishes/clichés/fannish tropes that are out there, please visit Eliade. There is an extensive listing there.

At a loss for games? Try Gamespot.com or GameZone or X-Play or Blue Laguna.

The prompts will be gathered into one master list. Claiming will begin 12:00 AM EST June 14 and will end at 11:59 PM EST June 30.
Posting will begin from July 1.

Also, one request - this community will only be successful if we get enough prompt requests and writers and artists to submit work for those prompts. So, please, if you know someone that might be interested...please pimp this community to them!

	Due to the nature of the community, that would be a yes. We are only going to deal with video games here. That way, by remaining genre specific, we don't step all over kinkfest or any of the other asylums dealing with month ficfests toes. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Now, I don't want to prompt for the show itself, because it's not technically a game franchise (I don't think?), but what if I specifically want to use the Captain N version of Simon Belmont (who bears horribly little resemblance to the game version, but is good for ~~mocking~~ comic relief)?
