Email blocked?
Due to some of the feedback I have received here I believe that some of our mail may be blocked by one of the large email provider. If you are not receiving notifications or validation emails please let me know here who your email provider is.

Also, the move is now complete, so if you are still not seeing some of your userpics, you will need to remove and re-upload them. I apologize for loosing some of them.

In addition, I want to use this space to address some concerns that were brought up about scheduling downtime. I do admit that I should have done a better job at letting everyone know when I would be on working the site. The reason I did was that there was so much work to do that I was working on the site every time I had a free moment, and I didn't know when I would have free time. Moving forward I will work to give better notifications as to when there is potential downtime.

About working on the site--a quick note on Twitter that says "doing database work" (or whatever's appropriate--installing update, moving server, etc.) would let us know there's a chance of site problems. Detailed explanations can wait for after; a short note of "internal site activity" reminds us that we should compose posts/comments in something other than the site window to be sure to not lose them.

I have Yahoo mail and I haven't recieved anything in months. Not a single thing. I even check my bulk mail folder every day.

Yahoo mail Squeaky.

Didn't receive any email for a few days last week and then they suddenly showed up all at once. Have had a few notifications disappear into the abyss though. It seems to be comments left on my own journal are the problem.

Thanks for all your hard work! We really do appreciate it!

Gmail hasn't been getting any, and my yahoo messages (as of last night, I'm not sure about the present) were trickling in massively delayed.

I use Hotmail.

Notifications were about 13hours behind, but now? Nothing. I was getting asylum notifications but not from my personal journal.

I haven't received any in... weeks.

I am using Gmail, just submitted a support request on another topic (RSS Feeds not updating - #2345), and received the email notification immediately.

I'm not getting any emails, I even added it to my adress book. I'm on AOL. If you'd like, I can try switching it to my Yahoo account and see if that helps any.

I use Hotmail, and I'm not getting all my notifications. None from my personal journal at all--up until last night I was receiving them from communitites, but now, not.

I know you said you'd been working on an error that has something to do with community joining? I got one today and I'm not really sure if that's what you were talking about.

I have gmail, but I HAVE gotten my email comment notifications on comments for posts to communities, and replies in other people's journals, but NOT on comments for posts in my own journal. So, it's not gmail blocking, it's something else. :(

I was extremely pleased with the way you handled downtime notifications; while we didn't know ahead of time, we were kept up to date through Twitter, and I appreciate that a lot.

I'm getting notifs for all journals but this one, with no idea why, because they all go to the same email - GMail.

Notifications are fine.

And as for downtime, it seemed to me that you scheduled it as far as possible at a time when the majority of US users would probably not be using it. In any case the actual downtime was quite brief and those of us who have friended your Twitter journal kept an eye on your posts there and were able to warn the members of our cmmunity who hadn't.
