Who: Adara Vidales and Penelope Quirke

When: Next day after the Holyhead Harpies game. (Spring of Harry's 6th year.)

Penelope had seen Orla off at King’s Cross Station. Her daughter had run off to tell her story to her friends about meeting her hero. Penelope was still quite pleased. She expected her daughter to have been excited about meeting Adara Vidales but she had no idea that it would have had such a huge impact on her. She was already talking about playing Quidditch professionally.
Giving her daughter a chaste kiss on the cheek, she was on the train shortly thereafter and steaming towards Hogwarts a few minutes after that. Not bothering to Floo or use the portkey as she had no need to now that she was alone, Penelope apparated back to the front door of her home.
Once inside, she began to get to issuing instructions regarding dinner. While she did not have many servants, she had three Squibs that worked for her. Penelope prided herself on being a benevolent employer and she had a good relationship with them. She also had a practical reason for doing so; happy employers were more likely to keep secrets.
She had arranged things so that dinner would be ready to serve about thirty minutes after Adara arrived. Dressing for dinner, she put on an elegant black dress that was simple and while clung to her curves was modest in many ways. She styled her hair down and she put it in loose curls.
Moving to the sitting room, Penelope waited for Adara in the richly furnished room. The walls and furniture were dark hues and all the furniture was upholstered in velvet. Sitting demurely, she waited patiently for the ornate clock in the corner to strike six. |
