Who: Tymor and Lyanora
When: Jan. 5th
Where: Along the Kingsroad
Rating: PG
Status: Incomplete

Tymor rode along with Lyanora and a small mix of Lannister and Stark retainers. So far, they hadn't had any luck in finding the girls. On the positive side, they hadn't found any remains that resembled Genna and Gwyn either. Not that any remains would look like anything but decay at this point in time, but Tymor suspected there was a good chance that the girls were alive. Or so he was hoping.

They hadn't been found anywhere near Winterfell. Their small party had joined in on the fighting, and helped to win a major battle that pushed the Greyjoys back. They stayed for nearly a month in the North, helping with the fighting, and searching nearby towns for the girls before finally heading back South. As much as Tymor knew it would be hard for his aunt to leave Ned behind, the simple fact was that if they stayed any longer, the weather would get too bad to make travelling an option.

They'd travelled south and gone to Casterly Rock next. If the girls hadn't gone to Winterfell, perhaps they had come to Casterly Rock. No luck there, either, though it was a good deal warmer than up noth.

"You know, I almost wonder if they're hiding within King's Landing itself," mused Tymor.

Annaleyse Tyrell. It had been a long time since she'd used that name, but it would serve her once again. It must. Sandro had greeted her warmly as she stepped from his ship onto her homeland, but he'd greeted the gifts she presented him with more genuine delight. A magnificent medallion had been among the salutations, but she now wore it. The box had been the true piece of value- it's hidden compartment ingenius as it was informative.

She smiled beneath her veil. She was dressed as one in mourning- easier to keep her face from those who might recognize her. She needed first to plead her case with the king, or more likely his Hand, if tales were to be believed. Tyrith Lannister had come far from the brazen lord she'd known not so very long ago, it seemed. Anna hoped not too far- a part of her would have been terribly disappointed if he was to have become just another great lord.

She brushed some dust from her splendid gown- Lyseni to its seams but she had some others more domesticated for when she would meet her family again. Her sons would be entertaining at the least, and Selester... well, if he managed so much as 'entertaining' she'd swoon of shock.

The whole palace seemed to be in an uproar she noticed, almost as if they weren't sure how to go about a grand feast to gree the new year. To be expected, if Sandro had the right tales- the queen was apparently something of a terror. Anna's smile grew. She dearly hoped this Kaelyn would meet the tales that were told of her. It would be nice to meet someone of such a like spirit.

The Red Keep is a torrent of activity for the feast in celebration of a new year, with a new king, a time to change, for things have been so dark, now there may be a new dawn. The ceremonies have been planned, the menu laid out to astonish even the most jaded courtiers as it must to do honor to the many lords of the realm remaining in the royal court these many months. The morrow will bring the feast, the celebrations, the joy, yet there is a strange lack of it within the castle.

The royal family remains in mourning for their sister, Lady Celia Tyrell, as does the host of Highgarden. Yet all is not quiet in their grief, for whispers remain that Lady Celia was thrown into the sea by enemies of her husband’s house or of her own; very softly it is gossiped that she knew of the kidnapping of her nieces, or stumbled onto some part of the dark conspiracy that stole the twin princesses.

William Stark has scrambled to find some way to maintain the treaty with Dorne without his daughter as a key party, and has dispatched his nephews and sister Lady Lyanora to look for the girls, along with many knights and lords. A reward has been offered, yet no note of ransom has been received. The court gossips often recall King Paegon’s loss of Prince Jaehaerys and Queen Aeria. The matter is further clouded by the visible rift between the king and his queen. Servants and courtiers alike have taken to keeping well outside Kaelyn’s sight. The King’s Hand, Lord Tyrith Lannister has further increased the number of guards surrounding the royal family and the keep itself.

Meanwhile, Prince Sandro li Saverio has worked to once more cement trade between Westeros and the Free Cities and has been rewarded with a seat on the small council by Lord Tyrith. Lords Bolton and Tyrell have served the regency well, taking on duties as William’s distraction has endured. Lord Polonius has been seen looking much more relaxed than he has in years.

In the city of Kingslanding, the streets are quiet, credited to Lord Stark’s neice, Lady Toria Lannister and the greater numbers of Gold Cloaks patrolling to keep the peace. Even the woods are quiet, though it may only be winter’s chill keeping the thieves of the Blackwater Alliance at bay….

In the midst of the court, rumors have begun to circulate that the Ironborn in the North have grown quiet, there is something else rising on their cold isles.

Polonius sat awaiting the rest of the council, a letter from a well-placed informant in his hands. The land of the dead seemed to be giving up its charges of late, though of course this particular charge had never come near the Stranger's realm. How such rumors got started was a wonder, the spymaster reflected with the faint hint of a smile.

One only wondered how her husband would take the news, and her sons... Ah, such a celebration as was only dreamed of, surely. If he'd been a man given to laughter, Polonius might have chuckled. There would be such chances with this one. Such chances.

Letters had been exchanged back and forth as Toria planned a charitable visit out into King's Landing with Elia. Of course, there would be men at arms around to protect both ladies from any potential harm that might come to them, but Toria hoped the gesture would help placate the people. They were growing more hostile by the day, and she could only imagine what might have happened to her brother if House Lannister had not gained a reputation for being charitable of late.

Then there was the disappearance of her little cousins, her young aunt's death, and wanting to secure good relations with House Martell at hand. She genuinely liked Elia, so it was more than simply paying attention to politics. She didn't want to be forced into a clash with someone she regarded as a friend.

There were men out looking for Gwyn and Genna already, but a few well-placed inquiries couldn't hurt. After all, there were things people might say to a young lady with coin that they wouldn't share with a member of the Kingsguard. The men at arms were to keep enough of a distance that they wouldn't intimidate the smallfolk, but to stay close enough that they could be there in an instant if anyone became troublesome.

"Is there anywhere you'd like to visit in the city while we're here?" Toria asked her friend. "It is a bit dull stuck inside the Keep."
