It sounded like there was a lot more to killing one of the vampires like the Cullens. The other vampires like Strigoi seemed so simple. Not easy to kill, but the means to do so was pretty simple and straight forward. She looked at the scars all over his arms and winced a little. The feeders were usually the only ones who had scars like that. Feeders and bloodwhores.
Lissa smiled once he agreed that trying was important. She would need to talk to both Rose and Dimitri about how Viktoria wasn't the only one fighting her nature. Jasper wasn't like some of the vampires in the prison who had humanity they could turn off and on, but he was truly fighting against who he used to be. It earned him a great amount of respect from her.
"You spent many years living one way, so I can understand that it would be harder for you than someone who entered the life being fully prepared. You remember what life once was, she wouldn't have that." It also sounded as if she'd chosen the life for herself. That had to make some sort of difference too.
"You're an empath?" She studied him a moment, wishing she had her spirit back to look at the colors of his aura. "I don't feel emotions exactly, but I can see them. My ability allows me to see a person's aura. Among other things."
