Jasper smiled a little, noticing how similar Alice and Lissa seemed. Both were encouraging him and not discounting his efforts. "Wise words Lissa," he acknowledged. "Sometimes trying is all one can do. Still, I wish I had better control. I've been a vampire for nearly a century and a half and I don't have the same self control my newly made sister-in-law has. Though to be fair, she was better prepared than any I know of."
Pulling his sleeves back down, he chuckled a bit. "I hear you on the intense. I can always feel when emotions are running high there. It's part of my gift, to feel emotions. When I was a newborn vampire, it was rather intense to feel until I got control over it."
