Who: Claire and Azazeal What: Meeting and seeing the inn When: Last night Warnings: Probably not
It had been quite some time since Azazeal had settled down to be in one place and take an interest in any particular person other than those he knew and looked after before the virus began to spread. He never thought he would find himself in a town such as Everett and he greatly missed the familiar sites in London, but this was where he and Malachi currently needed to be. For a time.
After the failure of the End of Days, he felt that it was best not to be near his old haunts. Ella was still somewhere in the world and he imagined her fighting against the infected and keeping those close to her safe. All of their previous intentions and plans had fallen to the wayside long ago. Azazeal simply wished to wait out the plague and see what came next. One didn't exist as long as he did and not see see the shifts in climate, humanity, and disease. The humans would come through this and rebuild, it was only a matter of when.
Malachi seemed pleased at the prospect of changing their living arrangements. The space wasn't terribly large especially from what they had been accustomed to in London, but the inn would provide space for their new companions, Buffy and Viktoria. The young girl who lived in the inn piqued his interest as well. That wasn't to be forgotten, of course.
He arrived at the inn just after sundown and told the others he would return soon and they would all be able to make the move. Azazeal was certain that the meeting with Claire would go smoothly and there would be no problems; it was simply a formality. Malachi was to keep Viktoria and Buffy occupied for the evening until he returned and he was sure he was up to the task.
Walking through the woods, he came upon the inn and approached the door, knocking on the door. She was to be expecting him, so he felt she wouldn't be out of earshot of the door. He was proven right when it didn't take her long to answer.
"Hello, Claire, it's a pleasure to meet you officially. Thank you for agreeing to meet with me and considering me to help you with your inn."
