Who: Julia, Penny, Willow & Caroline What: Mall Adventure a.k.a. super secret Christmas shopping When: Thursday morning Where: Meeting in the prison courtyard Warnings: TBA if necessary
Julia took in a chilly breath, cold air making her lungs feel tight for a moment before she released it, eyes lifting briefly to the crystal clear blue sky as she stepped out into the courtyard. It wasn’t cold enough yet where you could see your breath steam in front of you, but it was getting there. Christmas was coming, but more than that so was another harsh winter. She could almost feel it in her bones, mind taking her back to Cold Rock and the way the sky had looked before a snowstorm hit. From what she could see they weren’t too far from it now though she guessed they had another week or so before the weather took a hard shift.
She practically shivered just thinking about it, gloved hands tightening around the straps of her backpack containing her supplies, a small first aid kit just in case, and enough room for what she hoped to find at the mall along with another folded up duffle packed into a side pocket should she need the extra room. She had quite a few people to shop for after all; Vera, Stefan, Serena, Penny, and Domino to name a few. True they were doing something of a secret santa for their Christmas party, but that didn’t stop Julia from wanting to find something special for the important people in her life. The winter may be cruel to them this year, but that wouldn’t stop Christmas from coming and that was what the nurse wanted to focus on. Well that and having a bit of fun with the girls coming along.
As far as she knew two people were coming along with them. Willow, a magic user that Penny knew from Thanksgiving, and Caroline, a vampire Julia had never met, but had heard about from Stefan. While the trip wouldn’t be a long one, unless something unexpected happened, it should be fun. In fact she would try and make sure of it considering that she knew Penny was still upset over her fight with Sheldon yesterday. She hated seeing her friend sad almost as much as she disliked saying goodbye to Vera this morning even if she knew they were only going to be separated for a short time. But before those thoughts could go any further Julia heard footsteps and turned to see who was coming.
