Re: Introducing the Cullens
Alice didn’t really think about her appearance much aside from clothing. Which they were all in short supply of considering going home to Forks for their own belongings was trickier said then done with Volturi trying to get eyes and ears on them again. Still she had managed to scrounge up a pair of faded jeans, a burgundy blouse and a light leather jacket. But that didn’t cover her hands or face. Her hard skin shimmering faintly do to the low cloud cover, something to do with the crystalline properties of their cell structure if Alice remembered Carlisle right. Which reminded her that she’d need to look for a pair of new gloves, maybe red. It really was such a delicious color.
“My brother, Edward, explained our appearance best I think. It’s beautiful camouflage for one of the world’s most dangerous predators,” Alice said, tucking her hands away in the pockets of her jacket before she offered up what she did know about her beginnings, “As a human I was locked away in an asylum. A tracker vampire named James caught my scent and meant to drain and kill me. But my maker turned me before he could. In retribution James killed him and left me alone. Most likely to turn feral. After that I wandered south.”
