Who: Rose and Lissa What: Reconnecting When: Not long after Lissa and Co. arrived at the prison Warnings: Not likely
Court had been in chaos. The guardians and magic users were trying everything in their power to devise up a spell using the elements to keep out the zombies once the virus hit. No longer was the Moroi court secluded from the rest of the world. The magic failed them this time and court had to be deserted. Rose was separated from them and so Lissa and Christian left. Guardians were too busy trying to keep order and Lissa knew she would be safe with Christian. The zombies didn't seem interested in the Moroi which was a change from trying to stay safe not only from the Strigoi but the Moroi rebels who wanted her off the throne.
It was just the two of them for months until they caught up with Jill along the way trying to locate Rose and Dimitri. She'd lost her group in Palm Springs and even though her bond no longer existed, Lissa knew how she felt. Being away from Rose for so long was driving her crazy. Maybe the spirit was a part of that, but she could feel the darkness creeping up in her more so than it ever had. Jill was feeling it from Adrian, or perhaps she was taking it from him, but poor Christian had to deal with the two Dragomir sisters all on his own. Lissa charmed silver rings when she could for all of them hoping it would help.
When they found the prison, Lissa couldn't believe her eyes when she saw that they'd finally found Rose, Dimitri, and Adrian. Jill had been insisting this was where he would be, but she was clouded by her anger towards Adrian so Lissa hoped and prayed that it wasn't a mistake. Once they were all settled in, Lissa knew that Rose had her duties, but she made sure that she'd gotten off raiding duty before stopping by her room. The bond was gone, but simply being around her helped put Lissa more at ease than she ever thought possible. Rose was home to her and for over a year she'd been missing that. She wasn't giving it up now that she had it again.
Appearing in the doorway, she saw Rose putting a few things away and she smiled. It was good to have her best friend back. Finally.
"So, what's this I hear about you sleeping in a hammock?"
