Tara had searched long and hard for any sign of her Maker and Sookie with Eric at her side. After a week of fruitless efforts they'd left Louisiana behind and gone to Dallas to lay low. Only once had she questioned her grandMaker about why they needed to lay low. The response had been far from pleasant and Tara had decided to just follow his lead. Though she was capable of defending herself he was older and wiser. Eric knew more about fighting and survival than she ever could know. In Pam's absence he could teach her and keep her safe. She had stayed for an additional reason. Pam would have wanted her to stay with Eric, so she had stayed and searched for signs of where Pam might have gone. But then they'd gotten involved with moving survivors from Dallas to Everett. There had been no signs of the zombie hordes for a few days and the group had become complacent. When a horde had descended on them Tara had gotten separated from Eric. From that point on she remained alone trying to track the direction he had gone. Her mind was filled with emotions of abandonment and even fear for days. Though she was tough and independent she found that she needed to be by her Makers side. Before all hell had broken loose Tara had been unsure of her feelings for Pam. There were days that she couldn't stand her but then there were also days when everything was about Pam. She was in denial about what her true feelings were. But after months of travelling, searching, and hiding, everything was much clearer. Somewhere along the way she had stopped denying and questioning and began using what she felt to drive her into finding Pam and Eric. Running into Serena on the borders of Louisiana had been unexpected but not entirely unwelcome. Tara hadn't fed in days and in exchange for protecting her, Serena would allow for her to feed when she needed to. They had nearly made it to Everett when a small group of zombie's quickly approached their position. Pushing Serena to continue North, Tara had faced off against them and distracted them long enough for her to get away. She should have continued to Everett then but at the time, Tara was determined to search awhile longer. Pam, Eric, Sookie, Lafayette..everyone that she'd known in Bon Temps and Shreveport could still be out there. When her searching had turned up fruitless she changed course to Everett. It was time that she accept that they might not be out there anymore. The world had gone to shit and there was hardly anyone left. Seeing civilization, or what could pass for one, had been a breath of fresh air. Actually sensing heartbeats when for so long there had been none, was refreshing and it made her feel at peace. Turning her phone back on had taken awhile but when it had Tara had been in shock. Her Maker was here. After so long of searching Pam was safe and alive. Now all there was to do was wait for her Maker to come to her and explain what had happened recently. Tara didn't like waiting out in the open as she currently was but for Pam she would. |
