Jack was well aware that he hadn't slept in about a week, and his body showed no signs of slowing down. If it wasn't for the opportunity to see Ianto, he might never sleep, even though it passed hours along and saved him from thinking about things that were no longer relevant. Though, irrelevant things seemed to have a way to come back up on him, like his recent realization that not only was his brother, Gray Harkness alive, but he was here, and without a clue as to what was going on. For Jack that spelled relief, because it meant that the beginnings of his intravenous retcon had worked, but he didn't know how much longer it would last. And, he highly doubted that he would be able to convince him to do any more tests.
It wasn't the time to think about that, though. Instead, he closed and locked the door to his office so he wouldn't be disturbed, and took out the bottle of scotch he had in his desk drawer. It always helped him fall asleep, because he wasn't used to letting go of the stresses of the world to find sleep. The alcohol definitely helped.
He removed his suspenders and trousers, his button up and his shoes and socks and climbed into the single cot in the far corner of the large office, letting out a slow breath as he felt his body warm up a bit with the scotch. He smiled a little bit in the dark, blue eyes scanning the room a bit.
“I know you're here.” He whispered, pulling the sheets up and getting comfortable. He remembered closing his eyes and when he opened them again he was in a place he recognized, but had never been to.
The Parthenon wasn't much to look at anymore, looming over Athens as a reminder of how great the city once was, the power that it stood for long forgotten to the bustling city below. Jack tucked his hands into the coat that he wore, looking around a little as he waited for Ianto. </a>
