Who: Elena and Angelus What: Very bad things Where: The Prison and then wilderness Warnings: Violence, probably death
Elena was having a very hard time of it. Matt and Serena were great, they had even worked out a schedule so that they could both takes breaks and Damon had always been there when she fed. Under those circumstances she had managed to keep it together. She hadn't hurt either one of them, hadn't even tried, hadn't even tried to take too much blood. But then as soon as they left, as soon as Damon wandered away to take care of other things the blood came back to haunt her.
She saw it all the time. She saw it dripping from walls and pulsing through the veins of humans. She saw it on the inside of her eyelids when she tried to sleep at night. Blood, she thought about the taste of it, the smell of if, the texture. It was safe to say that Elena Gilbert was a blood addict, a full on card carrying member of the AA who was barely keeping it on the line. And Caroline's disappearance hadn't helped things either. Caroline was Elena's rock, her beacon of self control. Nobody controlled themselves as well as Caroline did. Not even and especially not the Salvatore brothers.
She had wandered away from the prisoners. Every day she became more isolated from them. Even from her brother. She checked up on Jeremy of course. He was the only reason, the only thing holding her in place. Jeremy was the reason, the only reason to try and get through this whole vampire thing. Protecting Jeremy was the only thing keeping Elena human. She knew that he hated it when she tried to tell him what to do but it was the only thing saving her and she didn't know how to tell him that, wasn't even sure she wanted to. He didn't deserve to have that kind of responsibility on his shoulders.
Elena wandered deeper and deeper into the prison, into the parts of the prison that were blocked off and nobody went. She wasn't sure why nobody went in them, maybe it was just to save on heat but Elena didn't need heat. She felt just fine. And if there were zombies lurking about she had no problem with them either. They weren't interested in dead flesh and she was quick at killing them. They were easy. And the human part of her hated the filth and the fact that this person used to be somebody. But the vampire in her hungered for the kill, got off on the violence.
She was in one of the distant cellblocks when she heard the sound of flesh against metal. Her senses were heightened and she tilted her head to listen to the sound, slowly following it until she found him, locked ine one of the cells.
She gave him a puzzled look. Why was he in here and who had put him here?
