Who: Alec and Max
Where: The housing projects
When: After her meeting with Needy
What: Catching up
Warnings: Probably not, but will change if need be!
Alec was still waiting on the perfect time to nab Buffy. She was a vampire and Alec was indeed wary of her, but she seemed like a little kitten compared to Rebekah. Rebekah was lethal, everything about her put Alec on edge, but there was that tiny bit that would shine through and Alec gravitated toward that. It was comforting in a way, even for him. Buffy on the other hand was just a toy that he wanted to play with, manipulate and mold into a powerful machine to unleash against Faith. All roads led back to Faith, at least in his train of the thought nowadays. Anything to knock her down a peg or two. He owed her that at the very least after what she did to him.
He even felt that Faith was around sometimes and it was driving him a little crazy. She clouded his thoughts to the point where he couldn't think of anything else and sometimes he felt that Rebekah knew that and tried harder for his attention. Things would never be the same considering he was now the outcast, but he fit in perfectly at the housing projects.
Max on the other hand, did not.
He heard her and stopped walking, the thought of Faith long gone and now he was focused on Max and the blond girl. Alec wouldn't let himself be known, oh no, he climbed up the nearest building, just so he could stay out of sight, but he could see them perfectly. Watching Max brought a lot of memories back, it had been so long, but he was different. He changed. He had no choice, Faith made him.
Alec caught on that Max was looking for him, but he just stared on, watching them from above.
What could he possibly say to Max? If she was here from the prison, then she already knew what had happened. What would she say? He decided then and there that he didn't care. He was a soldier, nothing more, nothing less and right now, destroying Faith was his mission and a mission he planned on carrying out.
So he walked away.
Once his feet were on the ground, he headed in the opposite direction from where Max was, but once he turned the corner, he stopped suddenly. Max was in front of him.
"You shouldn't be here," he practically warned her before walking past her. He ignored her requests for him to turn around and kept walking, but he knew it was a lost cause.
