The kiss was nice and Neal returned it but it was what she offered to him that surprised him the most. Go back to New York? He was surprised hearing that since even if they all hated this town there were still bits and pieces keeping some of them there. Neal may have lost most of his but Rebekah had her family here. He knew Shannon would go where ever he did but she didn't care to stay here anymore either.
He was still thinking over her words when she moved so quickly and before he could even ask what was going on her wrist was against his lips and blood was spilling into his mouth. It was the surprise of it that caused him to panic for a second, jumping in his seat but she kept him still with her strong arm around him. The blood tasted coppery and bitter but he swallowed enough of it without even realizing it.
The blood was in his system now and Neal sat up the second he was free from her grasp. He wasn't sickened by the idea of being a vampire like a lot of people in Everett were, but he hadn't expected that to happen either. His heart was beating fast and his breathing heavy, but he still wasn't afraid of her. Neal had always been a little funny that way.
"You want me to be a vampire." It wasn't so much a question as a statement. Obviously she did and that meant she was choosing him to be with her for however long his eternity lasted. The taste of blood was still in his mouth, but he didn't care. A million thoughts ran through his head but only one word came to the front of his mind. "Okay."
Nodding, he nearly stepped towards her but looking past Rebekah he saw Shannon standing in the doorway. He wasn't sure how long she'd been standing there but from the looks of things it had been long enough.
