"Come here." As soon as he walked towards her she grabbed him by the waist of his jeans and pulled him closer. Her hand dipped into the mashed up guts mixed with a few other herbs and spices for flavor. She pulled out a good coffee mug sized glob before covering is scar in it. "Trust me. You're going to be glad you have this on here." The look they were all giving her was priceless. You would have thought she was going to make him eat the guts or something.
Once the scar was covered with guts she pulled out the ground red pepper. "This is still probably going to sting," she warned him as she pressed the powder to the scar. It was going to intensify the heat and the guts would help to absorb some of it so Derek didn't have to.
"Now go outside and lay down," she said to Derek. "Go."
While he headed for the door she looked at Talia and Lydia. "You guys can help me." She nodded towards the pantry and handed a bag of soil to Lydia and then a bag of soil to Talia. Destiny hefted one up in her arms and lead the other two women outside to where Derek was laying. "Cover him from the neck down." The three of them dumped out the soil over Derek's body. Destiny noticed another young wolf appear from the shadows, looking on cautiously.
"I'm going to say a few things and when I'm done you're going to transform into the wolf. Remember what I said. The bigger the animal, the better. And you need to drink every last drop of blood. Are you ready?" She waited for Derek to nod at her and Destiny took a deep breath and closed her own eyes for a minute.
"Închideți ușa." ["Close the door."]
She crouched down over him and hovered her hand over the soil covering the area where his scar was.
"Trimite-l în eterul cu acest sacrificiu." ["Send it into the ether with this sacrifice."]
She stayed there for a few minutes and concentrated as Derek's features began to change slowly and just when she felt that energy about to burst she took a quick step back and pushed Lydia and Talia back with her. Derek would need room but the woods yawned wide in front of him. She hoped that he remembered her words.
