Rogue was feeling lightheaded by the time the cocktail waitress came over with a couple of passes for them. She usually never consumed so much alcohol in one sitting, but each time she'd considered calling it quits, the thought left her mind as quick as it had come and she'd find herself sipping from a full glass, completely unbothered. It should have probably worried her, but with the heavy buzz she had going and the novelty of gambling for the first time ever, there really wasn't room for concern.
She took the pass from Adrian, and gave it a cursory glance before looking up and nodding. "Yeah alright," she agreed with a lazy grin, "should probably try something else before we go." For a moment, her own words echoed in her head. There was something niggling at the back of her mind, something she couldn't quite put her finger on and before she could really give it any more thought, the cocktail waitress clapped her hands together with a pleased look, her smile never wavering.
"Excellent! Follow me, please." She waited politely until they were on their feet to lead them towards the back of the casino. The place was positively filled to the brim with people, and yet not once did the waitress have to go around or ask someone to move, they all took a step out of the way of their own accord. Even in Rogue's booze soaked mind, it seemed a little weird how in sync everyone seemed to be but not so much that it made her want to double back for the entrance.
She was reconsidering her assessment, though, when they went through the back door into a brightly lit hallway that was engulfed in silence as soon as the door shut behind them. "It's really quiet back here," Rogue said as they walked. She glanced over at Adrian, wondering if he was starting to feel iffy about this whole thing too.
"That's because only a select few are invited back here, and our regulars don't like the distraction of all the noise from the main room," she easily replied. "It's not so quiet once you get to the roulette room." Despite her reassurances, the lack of noise outside of their footsteps was unsettling but Rogue was at least grateful that the lighting was fine. "Here we are, show your passes to the bouncer inside and he'll let you in." She held a door open for them and left them to it once they were inside.
She was right, Rogue could hear glasses clinking from behind the red velvet curtain complete with bouncer. "Passes?" They each held up their own at his prompting and he parted the curtain, waving them ahead.
It wasn't as colorful as the main floor and had a more intimate feel with the handful of people at the roulette table. Rogue paused when they all turned to glance at her and Adrian.
