Who: Lucy and Logan What: Creepy monster at the lake When: Today Where: The Lake Warnings: Creepy Monster
Lucy and Logan had been going for walks since she had first come to town and run into the cigar smoking, gruff speaking guy with weird sideburns. None of which did anything for Lucy since she had known she was gay since watching that one Madonna video when she was a little girl. How that even fair when girls were so pretty and soft and nice and guys were so.... not. Lucy didn't have a problem with men, she just wasn't interested in rubbing her naked body against them. She would still hang out though and Logan seemed to be a like minded soul. Sometimes on their walks they would say nothing at all and sometimes they had plenty to talk about.
This time it was Lucy's turn to talk. She was telling Logan about Amy being in town and tracking her down and how strained things were between the two former spies. It wasn't Lucy's fault, she was maintaining that. The two of them had been camping out when a few old associates of Lucy's had caught up with them. At first Lucy thought they were going to kill Amy because she was a DEB but instead they went after her. Lucy had betrayed them somehow by giving up her life of crime for love and returning everything she had stole. She knew it was a dramatic move but when Lucy crushed on a girl, she crushed hard and no gesture was too big.
But Lucy had moved on. She had become a different person when Amy never came for her. She didn't want to blame Amy. If Amy couldn't find her, she couldn't find her. Even though she used to be a DEB and Lucy didn't really believe that Amy couldn't find her. Amy could find anyone she wanted. Okay. So maybe she did blame Amy a little bit. And that was why she hadn't looked for Amy when she had first arrived. She didn't think Amy would even be here for one and two, she had moved on.
It didn't mean that Lucy didn't still have feelings for Amy. Seeing her again at the projects that one night, it was like looking at an angel with all that pale blonde hair and big blue eyes. Amy was everything that was good and true in the universe and Lucy was everything that was suspect and morally bankrupt. The two of them didn't make sense and never had. The DEBS had tried to tell Amy that and Scud had tried to tell Lucy.
And now Lucy was telling Logan but she didn't sound as convinced as she wanted to be. For his part, Logan was doing his job with the listening but Lucy wasn't telling the whole story.
"So now she's here and I think she wants to start things up again but I'm just not there anymore, you know?"
What she really meant to say that Amy was too good for her and hanging out with Lucy was probably going to the thing that got her killed.
