Rebekah woke up with a gasp as she usually did. Disoriented she looked around at the maze and it took her a full minute to fully comprehend the words that were coming from Lissa's mouth. The only true difference was that she wasn't starving as she usually would be because Nik would have locked her up for decades at least if not centuries. She realized she had only been down for a few minutes rather quickly.
"There goes my theory about them being able to hurt us. Looks like this is a full body hallucination. It must be some kind of magic. Any idea on that?" Rebekah would have had a better idea frankly. Her mother was a powerful witch and she had known many witches during her life. Lissa practiced magic though which Rebekah thought very odd for a vampire but some vampires could fly and others slept in coffins so they all had their little quirks, didn't they?
"We need to find whoever is responsible for this enchantment and get them to stop the spell. I would ask you if you have any enemies but since you're a royal vampire I'll just assume you do. And since I've been a bitch for a thousand years we can assume that I do too. Perhaps we have the same enemies. Either way. We need to find out who is keeping this place going. Maybe if we get to the center of the maze."
Rebekah felt fine despite just being staked. She would have to help Lissa through this maze since she was mortal. "Come on now," she said as she lead them further into the maze. She wasn't at full speed because Lissa couldn't keep up but she was walking at a very fast pace, fast enough for Lissa to have to practically jog to keep up with her.
