Who: Elena and Zoey What: Taking back their sanity When: Today Where: Wilderness Warnings: Some crazy talk and demony killing
A day or so went by and Elena hadn't tried to kill her brother, Ric, or the others yet again. A battle raged inside of her head driving her more and more crazy as time went on. Zoey would come in and out of the room sometimes and Elena knew something was going on with her too. Ellis had been by and it was clear they'd had a fight or an argument had gone down to cause some sort of tension between them. Elena didn't ask questions because she was already confused enough as it was with her own mind playing tricks on her. Tricks. The people here were only tricks. Or were they? Which was the trick?
She'd hardly been able to get any sleep and Zoey's blood had been the last real meal she'd had lately. Between feeling so out of it and her parents telling her that she wasn't a vampire she didn't know if she should be drinking blood. She remembered the accident on the bridge so vividly. She remembered so many things yet her parents were one of the memories that had started to fade. She remembered them well, but the specifics were becoming less and less. Too much had happened over the last few years to overtake that and Elena was grasping to hold onto them in the illusions. The reality. Which was which? She didn't know anymore.
Another sleepless night passed and Elena looked up from the corner she was crouched in when Zoey entered the bedroom. They hadn't talked much to each other about what was going on with them which could have been their biggest mistake. Maybe they could figure this out together because she was going to snap and lose it completely before too much longer.
"I know something is going on with you and you know it's going on with me too," she said quietly. "The others don't understand. They can't because they don't see or hear them. We need to find out what happened back at the paintball range."
Elena stood up sounding more confident than she felt. They could do this. They had to. "If both of us are having these.. problems then both of us can't be going through the same thing right? Both of us can't be the same kind of," Crazy. That's what she nearly said but didn't. "Confused. We have to figure this out."
