Who: Willa, Rose and Serena What: Baby Vamp to the rescue Where: The underground cellar near the nemeton and then the nemton When: Tonight Warnings: Nope
Willa had been spooked a little when Tara had recanted her problems with the vampire hunter to her. She knew she had to be extra careful when she went out by herself. Vampire hunters weren't something she was terribly unfamiliar with. Her father had many of them in his employ before the vampires had come for him during the outbreak. So far Willa had only been drinking Tru Blood and drinking from willing participants but she knew that Tara had the same philosophy on being a vampire. She didn't want to hurt anyone. So why had the hunter targeted her? Just when Godric seemed to get better she had to worry about the younger members of her family and since she was the youngest she was especially concerned. It didn't stop Willa from venturing out from time to time though.
She may be young but she learned quickly. Her eagerness to learn everything she could, not only about her family but about how to be a vampire and the kind of respectable one that Nora would be proud of had helped her master her powers faster than others might have. Compulsion had been an easy trick for Willa to pick up. Supernatural strength and speed came naturally to her. What she was most interested in was flying. She wanted to fly. Tara couldn't do it yet but Willa was positive that if she tried hard enough it wouldn't take her a century to master the skill.
With her wits about her and her senses on high alert, she practiced by jumping off of tree stumps. She concentrated hard trying to will her body to float even, to lift from the ground but every single attempt only left her tumbling back to the ground. Flying was a lot harder than it sounded. She was still determined to learn. She didn't care how many times she hit the ground hard. She was a vampire, she healed quickly and she didn't feel pain the same way that she once had. The only pain Willa was concerned with was emotional. She loved Nora and she wanted to make her proud. Think about how proud she would be if Willa came home and showed her that she could fly!
Her journey had inadvertently taken her towards The Nemeton. Her vampire senses could easily pick up the power in this part of the forest but she paid it no mind. The Nemeton had been here for a couple months now and Willa wasn't afraid of it. She was only afraid of what others might use it for. She had learned early on that people could be every bit as dangerous as vampires. Witches, especially. They could be far more dangerous than vampires. Tara might have cleaned that vampire hunter's clock but what would she have done up against a witch?
She tried to will the bad thoughts away. She didn't want bad thoughts clouding up her mind when she was trying so diligently to learn a new skill that was exclusive to her line. Flying made them special and Willa wanted to be a part of that. She hit the ground roughly again and wanted to lose her temper but kept it tightly reigned in. Bad thoughts were going to destroy any chance she had at mastering this. She got up on the stump to try again when she picked up the faintest noise with her superior vampire hearing.
Help. Please help.
Willa tilted her dark head to the side and jumped down from the stump. She followed the sound of voices until she reached a cellar door that had been reinforced with steel bars and a drill. The voices were coming from inside. Was someone keeping them in there?
"Hello?" she called. "Is someone in there?"
"YES!" The desperate voice came back. "Please help us!"
Willa reached down and grabbed the steel bars and yanked on them as hard as she could. One of them cracked but not much. "Hold on!" she shouted back to the people inside. She turned around and looked until she found a sturdy branch. Using that to help leverage some purchase beneath the steel she jerked upright. The branch broke but so did the steel bars. She quickly ripped them off the doors and opened them wide to see two women inside. It looked like they had been down there for awhile judging by how dirty they were.
"Are you okay?" she asked as she helped them out of the cellar. "Who put you in there?"
