They landed on their back from Logan's leg sweep with a grunt, frustration clear on their face. As useful as the new abilities were, they didn't keep their new body from tiring out. The same couldn't be said for Logan and the longer the fight went on, the bigger the advantage he would have. This needed to end now.
"We're just getting started, sweetheart."
They flashed him a wink and got up on their feet, immediately starting in on round two. He was a great fighter, that much was clear and if they were going to end this anytime soon, they were going to have to play dirty. Simple enough. They kept up the fighting for a good while for the sake of appearance and when they pulled their fist back, they purposely kept it hanging in midair as though Rogue was the one holding them back. Their eyes widened for a few seconds before it faded into a look of frustration and anger.
They gave it a couple of more seconds before they finally looked at him with desperation. "Logan?"
Logan, no!
"Go!" They forced the single word out as if it pained them to say it, knowing the man was far too stubborn to leave Rogue now. When it gave him pause, they immediately moved. They slammed into him hard enough to knock him down and quickly straddled him.
"It was only a matter of time until we got what we wanted." They left one hand on his shoulder to keep him still as long as they could as the other reached for his face. Their fingertips were only centimeters from his face when the entire hand began to tremble. "You have got to be fucking kidding me!"
The thing about sharing a head meant they shared thoughts and Rogue had pulled back once they had decided to trick Logan into backing down if only for a second. Once he was on his back, she gave it her all and for one moment, she was the one gazing down at him.
"Knock me out, I can't-" she paused and shuddered, "just do it!"
