Who: Diana and Faye What: Diana finds the crystal skull that's been missing since Christmas Eve When: Tonight Where: Diana and Faye and Cassie's apartment Warnings: Oodles of negativity from Diana. Angry sex with Faye? Probz.
Diana had been battling a deep depression ever since Christmas Eve. She knew Cassie was feeling it too but rather than help each other they only seemed to feed off of each other's feelings. They tried to distract themselves with magic, with finding the crystal skull but even their magic seemed off. Every location spell said that the skull was in their apartment but Diana knew that wasn't true. She had dropped it and it was possible that it was cloaked even. If someone else hadn't picked it up, it was sitting invisible buried in the snow somewhere.
She had tried to get Dante to help her but she guessed he had his own problems or whatever. It wasn't like she could go to Elena who was pissed at her or Jeremy who wouldn't even respond to her on the network. Diana and Cassie were on their own, for better or for worse and this time? It was definitely for worse.
Cassie had been a lot closer to Bonnie than Diana ever had been so she knew her pain was minor compared to whatever Cassie was going through. If anything Diana only hated Bonnie more for manipulating her, for tricking her into promising that they would have a better relationship and all Diana had to do was help with the spell. Bonnie had played her almost as expertly as their father had once done. The Blackwell genes had been strong in Bonnie but not strong enough since she was dead. There was no bringing her back, Diana wouldn't even try. She was willing to do a lot with her dark magic but that Christmas Eve spell had taken it's toll on her and she wasn't up for bringing any more people from the dead, especially if she would have to die for it.
People wanted to blame them for Bonnie's death and some nights Diana laid awake at night waiting for the pitchforks and torches to arrive. Letting everyone know that the spell's effects would wear off had been a mistake. She didn't owe any of those people anything. She had already helped to bring them back to life. What else did they want from her? She wasn't bleeding for them. Kol had promised to rip apart anyone who came for her but how could she guarantee that he would get to her before they had burned at the stake? Fuck this town. Diana hated it and she hated everyone in it except for Cassie and Malachi. Some days she didn't even know why she stayed. She wasn't the leader of this coven anymore. This coven was bullshit. Adam and Melissa had run off. Jake was probably dead or if he wasn't he was fine going solo. Bonnie was dead.
Cassie was out looking for the skull around The Nemeton and Diana sat by herself doing another location spell. But just as it had been every time she had done it with Cassie, it kept showing the location as her apartment. "How is that possible?" Diana frowned at the map before bunching it up and throwing it against the door.
With a sigh she leaned back on the couch when she heard music softly wafting from Faye's room and suddenly the pieces clicked into place for Diana. How could she have been so stupid? She was on her feet so quickly that her vision tunneled for a minute before she stormed over to Faye's room and didn't bother knocking, she just burst through the door.
"Where is it, Faye? I should have known you had it the whole time. You've always wanted to get your hands on that skull and you found the perfect opportunity to steal it. WHERE IS IT?"
Without waiting for Faye to answer Diana stalked over to bureau and pulled open drawers, rifling through Faye's things to find it.
