Whoever she saw in his place wasn't meant to comfort her - his goal was to make it worse, and he made a movement as if he was about to step away from her. As if he himself was afraid of her.
Would her endurance be the same as a human? As a werewolf? Crane couldn't help but wonder how long mutants would last with his toxins, and if it even mattered that she was a mutant or not, but he was willing to find out. He had enough drugs to test out any theory he wanted.
