Who: Amy and Lucy
Where: The Projects, Lucy's place
When: Now-ish
What: Amy tracks Lucy down
This week had been a very busy week for Amy. Not only was she working her regular sentry shifts, but now that the Council had gotten classes going at the prison, she had volunteered to teach Gun Safety and Shooting, and she was even taking an art class on her own time. The simple act of sitting in front of an easel and painting or picking up a sketchbook and drawing was really comforting. Everything around her faded away for a while, and she felt like just a regular girl again.
Just because she was busy, though, didn't mean she didn't pay attention to what had happened. She knew that Sheldon, the man who'd worked the prison's generator, had been killed recently. She remembered that in the middle of the night, before the news broke, she had been scared awake by the sound of a girl screaming. She knew it was most likely it had been a strange coincidence, but the sound of that scream had stuck with her. There was something...almost unearthly about it.
But that wasn't the only big thing she'd noticed happening in Everett. When scanning through the network posts, she'd come across a familiar name. Lucy Diamond. Lucy, her Lucy... she was here. And Amy had to admit that it hurt that she hadn't even thought to ask for her. The first thing she'd asked about on the network was Lucy, if anyone had seen her or heard of her. When she'd been told no, she'd felt so defeated. She'd searched for Lucy for as long as she could, even digging up some of her D.E.B.S. contacts to see if they had a line on her. But nothing.
And now, she was here. She was here, in town, flirting with other women. Amy had been tempted to respond, but she'd decided to lay low and surprise her. She wasn't sure how that was going to go, given how long they'd been apart, but even with the way Lucy was acting, she couldn't help feeling excited. She was here, that was all that should matter.
She remembered seeing on one of those posts that Lucy was staying out in the apartment buildings, so when her class came to an end, she signed herself out of the prison and went out to the projects to find her. She didn't know which place was Lucy's, so she stayed back and quietly assessed, silently hoping Lucy might come out and make it all easier on her.
