Since Isabel had offered to help control her dreams, Rogue had been feeling a little better. She hadn't stopped reliving other people's memories altogether but she hadn't been slammed with them like she once was and that small bit of relief was the difference between wanting to weep in frustration and pulling herself together to get through it. Last night had been one of her better ones, leaving Rogue feeling a lot more rested than usual.
She'd just come off sentry duty when she decided to take a look at the net and saw Finn's post. Rogue and Kurt had still been working through their issues, namely her knowing a lot more about him than he had felt comfortable about, but she had hoped that with more time they could both get over it. Ironically enough, for that very reason she knew that Finn wasn't in the wrong for letting his brother leave. She read through the comments and thought that they were unnecessarily harsh. She understood that kind of impotent anger and the need for taking it out on the person that delivered the bad news but in Finn's case, he wasn't just the guy that was telling them something they hadn't wanted to hear. He was the guy that had just lost his brother and was probably feeling even worse than they were at his absence and was now getting the blame for something he didn't do.
Rogue had felt the love Kurt had for his dad, had seen it, had lived it in her dreams, and if he wanted to find his dad, he was going to find his dad. She was sure of it and it was why she told Finn as much. He deserved to hear from someone that wasn't going to lay the blame at his feet and she was glad that she wasn't wrong and hadn't said anything out of turn.
After Finn told her where to meet him, she placed her phone in her pocket and walked straight over to the gate. She returned his smile as soon as Finn was in sight and waved away his thanks. "It's no trouble, really," she assured him. "Told you I like taking walks, so you're doing me a favor." She nodded for them to go ahead on their walk wrapped her arms around herself to ward off the chilly air.
"Dumb question, I know, but, how are you doing?" Had anyone even asked him how he was dealing with his brother leaving?
