Who: Azazeal
What: Meeting his daughter properly
When: Tonight
Where: The Inn
Warnings: He shows his mushy feelings?
Azazeal hadn't been able to watch Malachi be born. So much had been done to keep him away from Cassie during those precious few weeks she carried their son. Ella later cautioned her against him in order to destroy him. No matter what Cassie had felt about the reasons Azazeal originally sought a child, she chose their son over herself and Azazeal would forever love her for it. No Fatherhood was something he hadn't expected even after spending over 500 years seeking it. He remembered some of his the memories he shared of Malachi as a young boy, but they were far too few. He'd grown up too quickly, but this child, his beautiful girl Liliya would not have that life nor would she grow up without a mother.
Visitors had been in and out of the room all day long. Viktoria was a shining beacon and accepted everyone's congratulations graciously. There were more promises for visitors in the coming days, but as the evening wore on, he was grateful for the quiet solitude. After everyone had left for the time being, Viktoria was asleep in their bed and Liliya was asleep in his arms. He'd picked her up from the bassinet some time ago and had sat in the wooden rocking chair on the other end of the room, rocking gently. He wasn't sure how long it had been that he'd been watching her sleep, but he didn't mind. Not at all.
A small mat of dark hair adorned her pale skin. She was wrapped in one of the blankets he'd collected from London during a visit there. He'd brought back several items that he knew would only be suitable because they were the proper size and color. Others may have sufficed, but nothing other than perfection would suit his daughter.
Heaven and hell could go to war over this child and while those thoughts were still in the back of his mind, there was nothing but sheer adoration in Azazeal's thoughts now. A perfect picture of how the world should be and how he was determined to make it now that she was here. Whispering stories of grandeur and greatness to her, Azazeal told her that she would have it all. With Malachi he'd wanted him to take the world as his own but the difference now was that he wanted to give it all to Liliya. Anything she wished for he would be powerless to deny her.
Tiny blue eyes opened to gaze up at him and he smiled. "Hello, Liliya." As quickly as she'd awakened, Liliya made a few soft noises and closed her eyes again to drift off into sleep. Azazeal leaned over and kissed her forehead softly. "Sweet dreams, my dear. Sweet dreams."
