"Trust me if anyone can keep a secret? It's me and my brother." That was unless you were a pretty brunette waitress who had just been shot to near death. Then all the secrets went out the window because Max just had to save Liz. Isabel was no longer aggravated by his decision. Liz had been a good sister-in-law and a friend. Isabel was still mourning her loss.
Isabel turned to look at Rogue. "Does your magic zappy touch work on zombies?" she asked pointedly. "Because if it doesn't I don't think you should even think about moving out." She was kind of a hypocrite because before Spike she thought about leaving all the time. But Isabel's alien powers worked on the zombies. Telekinesis and pyrokinesis made life a lot easier in an apocalypse.
"Let's just not let it get that far. You take precautions with your gloves. Let's get your dreams under control and you're going to feel a lot better," Isabel said with more certainty than she really felt. She still had no idea if she and Max could help Rogue but she hoped they could.
She turned around and faced Rogue. The wind blew a few pieces of blonde hair in Isabel's face but she kept her eyes locked on the shorter girl. "Try it again. I know you can do it."
