Isabel smiled slightly when the scenery around them began to change and suddenly they were standing on an unfamiliar lawn. Unfamiliar to Isabel but she could tell that Rogue felt comfortable in that space. It was a good first try but she couldn't hold onto the memory of it for very long and instead they were back on the highway.
"It was a great first try," Isabel said, trying to sound very encouraging. Rogue's dreams were so strange. Usually there was this fuzz, this sort of aura that hung around the hazy edges of every dream. Rogue's haze came and went but it never stayed firmly in place like with other dreams. Isabel wasn't entirely sure she could help Rogue but it wasn't like she had a better idea for her roommate. If she could help she had to try.
"Let's walk and when you're ready you can try again. Maybe if you relax a little bit it will be easier." Isabel took Rogue's arm and led her gently away from the scene with Jimmy, the scumbag. The highway was desolate, like one long stretch of road ahead of them but the weather wasn't so bad, one thing Rogue had mastered, and it wouldn't hurt them to walk for a little while.
"It's gonna be okay, Rogue. We'll figure out a way to help you with this. If I can't help with dreams maybe my brother Max can do something." Max was a healer but if Rogue's touch didn't hurt Isabel than it wouldn't hurt Max either. She had no idea if it was an issue that Max could heal but she thought they should try if this didn't work.
