Who: Dawn and Buffy
When: After Buffy's brought back; after her and Malachi part ways
What: Reuniting and then talking
Where: The prison
Warnings: IDK
Buffy held onto Malachi's hand, giving him support through all of this. She felt horrible, she had no reason to be brought back and with her, along with the other ghosts and Caroline being brought back from ghosty land, it cost the witch her life. It was bittersweet, but the bitterness coursed through her as she watched Malachi try and hold it together. She could tell he cared about Bonnie. That was her name. Bonnie. They exchanged a few words and then Buffy finally let him go so he could follow the rest of them that were taking her body away from the Nemeton. Besides, Buffy had to go and see her sister.
And yep, the blond slayer had no idea what to expect. Not at all. Dawn was wishy washy when it came to her. There were good days and there were bad days and Buffy understood it because it wasn't fair to her. Not at all. Coming in and out of her life - who does that? Apparently she did. Buffy did. And the hardest part about all of this was Buffy wasn't sure how long she'd last. Not that she wanted to off herself, she totally didn't, she wanted to be here, with Dawn. She wanted it to be permanent and she felt it in her bones that it was, but what if it wasn't? What if she was dragged back, what if she left her sister again? Left Malachi?
Pushing those thoughts from her mind for now, she made her way to the prison, the familiar path she had taken many times, either to get away, or to follow Faith when she was all evil Buffy so she could take what was hers. And there it was, Faith. She swallowed at that. She had moved past the whole her sleeping with Malachi thing. Buffy was dead, she couldn't - well - yeah. And besides, Malachi was a guy in Buffy's history, so there's where her attraction to him was.
She knew that things were going to change, no matter how long she was here or not - at least for now. A lot of slayers were alive again, Tara was alive, Cordy was alive and so many more, it was just unreal. They all had this second chance, this one chance to make things right and Buffy intended on doing that because tomorrow, she could be gone.
The slayer stood at the gate, her arms hugging herself as she waited in the cold that she barely felt.
