Cassie's eyes widened at Diana's confession. She'd lost it?! The Crystal Skull?! How the hell could she have lost it? Well, then again, it wasn't that unbelievable, given the chaos of what had just happened and how quickly Diana had pulled her away from the scene.
"Okay." Cassie replied, nodding. She was starting to come out of the shock she was in, but everything still felt unreal and hazy. She really didn't want to go back, Bonnie's body was there and she didn't want to see her sister laying dead again, but they couldn't just lose such a powerful tool of magick. It could be dangerous if it fell into someone else's hands.
Grabbing Diana's hand, she started pulling her back toward the Nemeton, her eyes scanning the ground as they moved. "Where did you drop it?" She asked, looking up ahead where everyone was still gathered around the tree. Her heart tightened again in her chest. What was going to happen now? Were they going to blame her? It wasn't like it wasn't her fault. She should've put a stop to this before it came to this. "This is my fault." She said quietly, mostly to herself as that reality of her loss started to break through the fog of disbelief.
