Cassie had known the spell would be dangerous, she hadn't wanted Bonnie to do it in the first place, but she'd agreed to help regardless. Bonnie was her sister and she wasn't going to let her do it alone, she was going to be there to help her, to keep things from going too far. But as she fell to her knees beside Bonnie's still, unmoving body, no life left in her, Cassie knew she'd failed. She'd let her sister take on too much, she'd let things go too far and now Bonnie was dead.
Her sister was dead.
Cassie couldn't seem to do anything, she felt like she was in a horrible dream, a nightmare really, and all she could do was stare at Bonnie's lifeless body. Was this just a bad dream? It had to be, right? There was no way this was real. She was having pre-spell nightmares of what could happen if she wasn't careful. That's all it was. Bonnie wasn't dead. She couldn't be! But as she felt a hand wrapping around her arm, jerking her away from Bonnie, the sounds of everyone around her suddenly coming back into focus, Cassie knew it was real. She just let Diana pull her away, watching as everyone, as her dead sister grew further and further away until finally they were completely out of sight. Then they stopped and Cassie just stood there, still and quiet, blinking slowly as she looked at Diana. "Bonnie's dead." Was all that fell from her lips, in an emotionless monotone. Cassie was in shock.
