Rogue nodded. If she'd only had Jed as company for three years and the entire time he'd protected her, she could see why Heather was protective of him in turn. It was better than being alone and vulnerable. Even when she'd been scared to be around people after her mutation had returned, she'd always wanted someone there with her and longed to go back to the group she had traveled with when the virus had spread.
The name sounded familiar, probably someone she'd seen on the network but she hadn't actually met anyone named Abigail. "No, 'fraid not." It didn't escape her notice that Heather said friends rather than friend. "I know a few others at the prison, maybe you know one of them. Lorna, Molly, Roman, Shelley," Rogue paused when she saw recognition in Heather's eyes at the mention of Shelley. With Jed as her only companion, she had a feeling Heather wouldn't be one of the people that feared her friend on sight.
"I don't know how much Abigail has told you but Shelley's settled relatively well at the prison. She's even got a garden of her own." She couldn't help the small smile. Shelley was probably the sweetest person Rogue had ever met and one of the most understanding.
