Rogue wasn't really buying the first lie about him not intending to hurt her. She'd been scared out of her damn mind while she'd been running and if not for Heather, she had a strong feeling she'd be mincemeat by now. But the lies continued and in a warped way they started to make sense. Kind of. Since the rage virus had broken out, people had become overly cautious and maybe it was the lack of sleep but she supposed chasing possibly infected people away from where you lived was a kind of preventative measure, even if it was an extreme one in this case. She reluctantly accepted the excuse with a nod.
"I'm fine." She pulled away from Heather's touch, not wanting to accidentally her. She was also already dealing from the side affects from touching Kurt, she didn't need to add more to it by touching this girl. She pushed herself up onto her feet and brushed off the dirt from her coat and jeans. Her hands paused when Heather asked to keep this to herself. Rogue didn't think that was such a good idea. What would happen if someone else accidentally wandered onto their property and she wasn't around to stop the guy from taking the scaring too far?
She also didn't want to be the reason Heather had to leave either. Rogue had been on the road for two years and knew firsthand how awful and hard it was moving from place to place all while trying to avoid survivors that were more than willing to take advantage of loners. "I, I guess so," she agreed after a moment. She wouldn't soon forget the experience, though, and keep it in mind just in case someone else brought up a guy with a chainsaw later on.
When Heather seemed relived at her answer, she felt a little better about her choice as well. She clearly had control of the guy so maybe, just maybe, Rogue wouldn't wind up regretting her decision. "My name's Rogue, sorry for wandering onto your property," for more than one reason, "didn't know you two lived here, obviously." She wrapped her arms around herself and tried to shake off the rest of the fear that hadn't completely gone away. "So is it just the two of you?"
