Heather had to let Jed out. He had been cooped up in his room for weeks. She was still getting a feel for the town and how everyone was. They seemed nice actually. Tony hadn't been thrilled that Heather had lied to him but he seemed to understand why she did. Abigail and Shelley were good friends and she had even gone to the Halloween party at Abigail's request and had a good time.
It all would have been great if she didn't have her cousin to look after. Sure, everyone in town was really nice but they were all a bunch of superheroes and those were the types that tended to take issue when a chainsaw wielding maniac was chasing girls through the woods.
He was getting angry, pounding at the door, even giving Heather a little shove when she brought him his dinner. She couldn't deny him anymore. That afternoon when she brought him his lunch she didn't bring him a sandwich. She brought him a chainsaw and left the door wide open before she went upstairs to try and ignore her cousin's hobby.
It wasn't long until she heard screaming and Jed dragged a body through the house twenty minutes later, trailing blood all the way. He had pushed his hook straight through some guy's back and was dragging him by the hook. Heather tried not to think about what was going on down in her basement.
A few minutes later he went back out and this time Heather followed him, at a safe distance of course. It wasn't long until he found a girl, not that far from Heather's age and started chasing her through the woods. Heather sighed and watched from a distance as he corner Rogue and before he could lower his chainsaw down to her shoulder, Heather grabbed his arm.
"Hey!" she shouted. "That's enough."
His eyes were hard from behind the mask he always wore but with a grunt he turned around stomped back to the cabin.
