Bonnie was aggravated from the minute she had read Diana's conversation with everyone on the network. Of the three Blackwell sisters, she was the most unstable. While there may have been a time when that wasn't true, it was now and Bonnie didn't trust Diana as far as... well, she could probably throw her pretty far when she thought about it.
The energy in the air was electric and Bonnie could let herself get lost in it. Some part of Bonnie wanted to get lost in it. She knew how addictive it could, how dangerous that power was. When you could constantly reach out and touch it but not too much or risk losing yourself. Bonnie was connected to darkness but she wouldn't let herself be lost there. She wouldn't recklessly play with fire the way that Diana was. Literally.
"Careful," she warned Connor who had come along for muscle and backup. She didn't want to see him get hurt with all of the magic that was flying around right now.
She would deal with Diana later. For right now she wanted to deal with Ethan. He was sick and infected and incredibly powerful. It was a bad combination overall. She knew that she would have to render him unconscious and keep him that way for the duration of the disease or until he expired, whichever came first. Someone with this much power couldn't be locked up and left to quarantine. Someone like this, someone like her had to be put down for good.
"I'm glad you think so." Bonnie gave Ethan a wan smile when he said this was for the best before she reached out her arm and flung him into the nearest tree. His skull bounced off with a thwack and he fell to the ground in a heap. The energy that had been crackling around him suddenly stopped and the air went still.
Bonnie's shoulders sank and she let go of the breath she had been holding. "This place is a mess." She shook her head at the chaos. The burned and uprooted trees especially caught her attention. Those trees had probably stood for a long time and now they were dead. Diana should have just knocked Ethan out when she found him like this. Bonnie glanced behind her but the other witch was already gone. She would deal with her later, as promised.
"I can keep him unconscious for as long as we need to but we can't just leave him out here," Bonnie said to Connor. It was better to focus on the business at hand than to dwell on the pointlessness of the mess that had been made in the forest.
